I'm 43 today. Damn! I might as well say I'm 50!

How hard is it to spell "design"?? Why do people who claim to live, breathe and eat fashion want to become "Fashion DESINGERS"

I'm having no luck with the bow for a corset, it's my first one with a bow like this. I used to be able to make fabric bows a couple of decades ago...sigh!
Any way, here's a pic I took yesterday, before the lace and bias were sewn on. I was trying to decide between lace at the top or ruffled lace at the bottom. The top won!

I just bought Eddie Izzard tickets!!! He's finally coming to Houston!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister in law bought a new car and gave me her old one, how cool is that?? She took such good care of it, the interior almost looks new! I don't drive a LOT, but I do need one specially if my parents need my help (groceries, meds, etc).

Why do I have to run out of everything all at once:
gold tips, silver tips, fusing, zippers, spirals, springs, 618 washers, lint rollers, black dupioni, red flat lacing (both shades of red that I use), black lining, gold lining...and if that wasn't enough, every scissor I own is dull, even all my thread snippers!!!!!

Made this one the other day. I'm calling all my corsets with zippers and 2" waist reduction "fashion" corsets now. I plan to make this one with a busk and a 4" reduction too.
I'm in the middle of redoing my web page since it's sooooo out of date! So I'll be up to my eyeballs in HTML this weekend!!!

Finally got these photographed! I'm pleased with how they turned out!

I made Chilean empanadas today, for my mom's birthday. The hardest part is the dough, then rolling it out. My hands are messed up, specially the left for some odd reason. I set off both fire alarms by turning on the oven and boiling water...what the hell! Leave it to me. But it was all worth it because they came out yummy and everyone enjoyed them! They are the kind of food I'm only willing to do once a year though!!

New skirt I'm working on, still needs lining and trim sewn over the pointed edges, but so far I'm pleased...
